Product documentation

From link to thumbnail, without losing the order.

Prepare the input, follow the batch and use the results safely. The tool accepts pasted links, CSV or XLSX and keeps one row for every submitted item.

1. Input by links

Paste one URL per line and select Find thumbnails. The social network is detected automatically.

2. Input by file

The CSV must use UTF-8 and contain one of these columns: url, original_url, post_url or link. XLSX files are converted in the browser using the first sheet.

Supported networks and formats

Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and X.

Collection uses the available public post image, including TikTok photo mode, Reels, Shorts and carousel covers. Coverage of every format or every image in a social carousel is not guaranteed. Shortened share links such as vm.tiktok.com, pin.it and fb.watch work as well.

Stories, live broadcasts in progress and YouTube community posts have no public thumbnail and remain out of reach.

Default limits

  • Up to 5 MB per file.
  • Up to 3,000 rows per batch.
  • HTTPS URLs from supported networks.

3. Processing

After submission, the batch enters the queue. Progress and partial results appear without reloading the page. The batch address contains a credential in the fragment after #; keep that part when sharing or resuming the work.

4. Results table

The Rows per page selector offers Auto, 10, 25, 50, 100 and All. Search, filters and pagination help you work with larger batches without sacrificing performance.

5. Spreadsheet alignment

The Thumbnail links field keeps the same number and order as the submission. When a row has no thumbnail, its position remains empty. Compact mode removes empty lines and should only be used when alignment is not required.

6. Safe export

The final CSV neutralizes cells that could be interpreted as formulas by Excel or other spreadsheet tools. Even so, review the file before distributing it.

7. Resume and share

Recent batches are stored locally in the browser. To open a batch on another device, share the complete address. Anyone with that address can access the batch during its retention period.

8. Common failures

SituationRecommended action
Private, removed or login-only postConfirm that the content is public.
Invalid linkUse the direct post URL and remove unnecessary parameters.
Incorrect thumbnailSelect the row and use Collect again to ignore the stored result.
Batch not progressingWait for the automatic retry or use the resend option shown by the interface.
Submission limitWait for the indicated period and avoid artificially splitting the same batch.

Important: visually review thumbnails before using them in external materials.

9. Google Ads: connect and extract

On the main page, choose Google Ads in the Social | Google Ads selector. Switching preserves each source’s forms, batches and results without reloading. Language and theme are shared. Optional third-party analytics are disabled on this page. Connect your Google account from any email domain and select an authorized advertiser account, 1 to 100 campaigns and the required formats. The application reads data and extracts images without editing ads or investments. A batch supports up to 2,000 ads; an ad may produce multiple asset rows.

The button first identifies the person with Google. If this application already stores a valid Ads authorization for that same identity, it is revalidated with Google and reused without new Ads consent. Otherwise, Google requests Ads authorization for that account. The default temporary connection lasts up to one hour and never renews automatically, even when reusing a saved authorization. Switching accounts or reconnecting always starts in this mode; renewable access must be explicitly selected. Renewable authorization stays encrypted until expiry or revocation, separately from maintained sessions lasting up to 30 days, ending after 7 days without use. Other applications' authorizations are never reused, and legacy sessions are not migrated automatically. Disconnecting and revoking also invalidates the saved authorization and all linked sessions, without deleting reports. Google determines available authentication methods; this revision does not demonstrate first-time Ads authorization without a passkey for the affected accounts.

Display/Demand Gen images and public video covers are source components, not screenshots of every served combination. HTML5, feeds, Performance Max and private videos are not guaranteed. Review asset status and correspondence.

Ads files are private and retained for at least 365 days. Historical access requires the same identity and current account permissions. Enable “Generate image links for BI” before extraction to use images in external reports without a Google session. The option starts unchecked. Anyone with a link can view only that image until batch expiry or revocation. Accounts, campaigns and CSV reports stay private; older batches are not shared. Use “Revoke this batch’s external links” separately from disconnecting Google. Minimum 365-day data retention applies across the application, separately from login duration. Google approval of the brand and Ads scope was confirmed on October 8, 2026. Approval does not guarantee which authentication methods are offered for each account.

Updated October 9, 2026. The real pilot demonstrated one Demand Gen multi-asset ad and three images, not all formats or accounts. Minimum browsers: Chrome 111, Safari 16.4 and Firefox 128.

10. Google Ads: versions, links and BI datasets

Updated October 16, 2026. Accounts and campaigns are chosen sequentially, with search, channel and status filters. The connected hero is compact and progress follows the Social visual pattern.

Only identical visual component sets are grouped. Components, versions and carousel positions remain available. This does not infer that ads with different text or destinations are the same complete ad.

Paste-ready links

The default is one main image per ad, in the same order as the Ads CSV. Landscape, square and portrait preferences, plus individual version choices, change the selected image without adding rows. A visual-set grain is also available. Missing images keep blank positions. Copy uses exactly the text in the box. Verify row count and order before pasting into another dataset.

Use the correct grain

Use Ads to blend ad metrics, with account, campaign, ad-group and ad IDs as text, or the equivalent textual ad_join_key. Visual sets, unique images and relationships have separate exports. Do not join metrics directly to image rows: this can multiply spend, impressions and conversions. A validated real CSV contained 805 relationships, 167 ads, 130 images and 36 visual sets.

Final links and datasets become available after processing and loading finish. Exports identify source batch, timestamp and interrupted extraction. URLs remain private; this structural correction does not enable external dashboards to retrieve images without authorized access.

11. PMAX and image links

Select PMAX: images, logos and video covers to collect asset groups from your selected campaigns. Components include images, public video covers and campaign-level logos, not every combination Google may serve.

The metrics dataset contains one row per ad or PMAX asset group. For PMAX, join customer_id, campaign_id and asset_group_id, or use resource_join_key. ad_id and ad_group_id remain empty because those resources do not exist in PMAX. Variants do not add rows to this dataset.

New links include the name and pixel dimensions in their path, without mandatory query parameters. Private links still require access; BI image links require opt-in before extraction and remain revocable. Older URLs stay supported.
